The Jews of Colonial America fought on the side of freedom. Jewish Patriots of the American Revolution tells a sweeping story of Jewish courage, sacrifice, and nation-shaping influence from the Revolution to the birth of the Bill of Rights.

Colonel Mordechai Sheftall and Solomon Bush helped secure military victory. Abigail Minis and Haym Salomon provided critical financial support. These are a few of the people whose stories are indelibly etched on our history as we became the United States of America.

In today’s environment of growing antisemitism, bridges can be built and our nation united, when we celebrate the freedoms we share because of those who fought to secure them—together.

Erin Zimmerman has directed CBN Films for over a decade, creating award-nominated films on history, current events, and biblical archeology across Israel, Jordan, Turkey, Egypt, and Europe. A four-time Emmy nominee, her work includes Oracles of God: The Story of the New Testament, Made in Israel, The Hope: The Rebirth of Israel, and To Life: How Israeli Volunteers Are Changing the World. In 2017, she wrote and directed In Our Hands: The Battle for Jerusalem, one of the year’s top-grossing documentaries. Erin earned her M.A. in Broadcast Journalism from Regent University, and previously produced for CBN News, The 700 Club, and Superbook.
